Francisco Cruz of Portugal won the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2011. FIFA gave the award to 16-year-old boy from the city Trofa, Portugal. Cruz won the championship after defeating Javier Munoz of Colombia to 4-1. 24 finalists who escaped from a series of six online qualifiers and 10 times online directly, was flown to LA and were treated with great entertainment.
This championship is a collaboration between FIFA, EA Sports and Sony PlayStation, and this year followed by 900 thousand participants around the world.
For this victory Cruz received $ 20,000 in cash and two tickets to attend the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala (annual award for best footballer in the previous season) next year.
